The Ensemble Klangrauschen was founded in 2016 as a permanent ensemble of the established concert series of the same name in Lübeck, Germany. Elizabeth Farrell - flute, Ninon Gloger - piano, Marie Yamanaka - viola and Heiko Maschmann - double bass first met for a chamber music concert at the Kiel Opera House and immediately realised that a special bond held this unusual quartet together. Further concerts followed and soon the idea of forming Klangrauschen was born. Since then, the ensemble has been performing regularly, giving a voice to new and experimental music in the northernmost German state of Schleswig-Holstein.
